Mathis Lucas is a neoclassical pianist and French composer.
His compositions are minimalistic and atmospheric, combined with modern synths they have a richly cinematic texture.
As a child, Mathis was inspired by contemporary classical music and instantly recognized that music would be his chosen path. At the age of twelve, he placed his hands on the piano keys and felt the connection.
Subsequently, through the years, he invested his time in developing the technics & theory aspects of the instrument. Successfully he achieved his mission of becoming a self-taught musician. Thereafter Mathis went on to study at the “Jacques Thibaud Conservatory of Bordeaux” to enhance his musical knowledge further. In addition, gaining support & guidance from the “CIAM/International school of Music Creators”. His inspirations in classical music came from artists such as Phillip Glass, Max Richter, J.S Bach, and Hania Rani.
The graceful and emotive flow of sounds weaves harmoniously through their voyages. “Desert Blanc, Glaciers & A walk in the sea” are three examples of the gifted composers’ productions. A natural-born storyteller, he has written compositions for short films, Arts projects, and various dance companies.
Alongside studio work, Mathis has performed at an array of venues. His cinematic approach fused with his experimental and flexible manner guides him comfortably in the direction of creating music for video games and cinema.
